Two Enid residents were injured and sent to the hospital on Saturday following a two-vehicle collision that happened near Chester.

Monica Gamble, 56, and Jason Dotson, 42, of Enid were headed northbound on US-281 in their 2002 Chevrolet Blazer. Meanwhile, an unnamed 33-year-old male was travelling southbound in the opposite lane in his 2002 Chevrolet Silverado.

At approximately 9:51 p.m., the Silverado crossed the centerline of the road and struck Gamble and Dotson’s Blazer head-on.

Both the driver of the Silverado and Dotson were pinned in their respective vehicles for an unknown amount of time before the Seiling Fire Department came to free them.

Both Gamble and Dotson were transported by Community Ambulance to Seiling Municipal Hospital. Gamble was treated for internal trunk and arm injuries and released, while Dotson had to be transported by Air Evac to OU Medical Center where he was admitted in stable condition with leg injuries.

The collision report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol concluded that the unnamed man in the Silverado was driving under the influence of alcohol. The man was transported by Taloga EMS to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center with leg injuries.
