Celebration of Life service for Alfonso Hernandez Cordero, 27, will be Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 2:00 pm in Anderson-Burris Chapel with Pastor Jarrod Cloud officiating. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.
Alfonso was born January 11, 1998 in Nuevo, Laredo, Mexico to Norma Hernandez Cordero. He was the first born of six siblings. He passed away April 9, 2025 in Enid, Oklahoma.
Poncho loved soccer and loved Team Barcelona, Messi, and Ronaldo. He was very artistic, enjoyed dancing, wrestling and working out. Alfonso was never serious, always joking around. He loved any kind of wrestling, and any time he learned a new move, he would test them on his brother and sisters. Poncho was on TV in Oklahoma City, during a big brothers soccer tournament. He played a 3V3 National Tournament in Florida, where he got to see the ocean for the first time.
He loved spending time with is family, especially his niece and nephews.
Poncho is survived by his mother and step-father, Norma and Lee Roberts; grandma, Octavia Cordero; siblings, Marco and wife Katie Hernandez, America and husband, Mason Bright, Ashley Ramos, Shelby Ramos and Susie Roberts; niece and nephews, Levi Hernandez, Bodhi, Beckham and Isabella Bright; other relatives and friends.
