Carl W. Dupus
1933 - 2025

A Glorification of Life service for Carl Dupus, 91, will be held Sunday, March 16, 2025, at 3:00 pm in Christian Church of the Covenant, 1205 S. Cleveland, Enid, Oklahoma. Pastor Paul Ragle will preside.

Carl was born in Helena, OK to Obed and Helen Dupus on June 20, 1933. He departed his earthly home on March 13, 2025.

Carl grew up in Helena where he attended school. He joined the Army in 1953 where he was active in carpentry and highway construction in France and Germany.
Following his honorable discharge from the Army, Carl began working in construction with D.C. Bass Construction Co. He was promoted to Construction Superintendent early on, and during his 50 years with Bass, he built many businesses, schools and hospitals in Enid and northwest Oklahoma. Carl was very well liked and respected by his workers. In the words of Doug Frantz, “He taught me how a grown man should handle himself. He was a great example and mentor to me and many others back in the day.”

He loved fishing, playing slots, playing cards, collecting coins, and tinkering in his tool shed, but most of all, he loved his family, which included 8 children, 19 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Ricky, his brothers, Edwin and Jim, and his sisters, Delores and Gracie. Carl leaves behind his wife, Harriett, sons, Cliff, Scott, Dustin, and Jason, and daughters, Lynn, Katrina and Denise, and a sister, Ruby Wood.
A special thank you to Greenbrier Village and Hospice Circle of Love.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his church, Christian Church of the Covenant.
