Funeral services for Cleta Shafer 82 of Enid, will be Friday, May 16, 2025, at 10:00 am at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Berniece Ludlum officiating. Burial will be at 11:30 am at Wakita Cemetery, Wakita Ok. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 to 7:00 pm.
Cleta was born on June 26, 1942, in Marshall OK to Elsie and Ora (Buck) Miller and entered heavens gates May 12, 2025 in Cherokee OK.
Cleta grew up in Covington Ok and attended Covington High School. She married Jerry Tisdale and from that union Rhonda and Debra were born. Jerry passed in 1975, and Cleta Married John Shafer in August 1977, in Wakita. They later moved to Enid where she was a caregiver, and CNA/CMA in various Nursing homes until she retired. She was involved in church either leading singing or teaching Sunday School, and singing in the choir.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters, Jerry and John.
She is survived by Rhonda Ray and husband Bobby of Guthrie OK and Debra Highfill and husband George of Cherokee OK. Three bonus kids, Lester Bernie Uselton, Berniece Ludlum, and Chrissy Eichelberger. Five grand daughter's, Hether Barsulai and Chris and their children Aizleigh and Aivionna of Tulsa OK, Ashly Smith and Antonio and their 2 children Sophia and Ezra of Aline, OK, Nikki Ray Pendley and Alex and their two children Daniel and Zella. Leslie Ray and Tristian and their two children Emberlyn and JerryLee of Coyle and Hally Guffy and Chris and their son Lincoln of Byron ok.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice Circle of Love.
