Graveside services for Dwight Lewis Jeter, age 99, of Enid, will be 10:00 am, Monday, September 16, 2024, at Enid Cemetery, with Chaplain Steve Williams officiating. The United States Army Honor Guard will provide full military honors. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.
Dwight was born January 30, 1925, in Mountain Crest, Arkansas, to John and Callie (King) Jeter, and passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Baptist Village in Enid.
Dwight was drafted into the Army right after graduating High School, and served in World War II, and Korea. Dwight lived in Ponca City for many years and retired from Conoco-Phillips in 1982. Following retirement, he moved to San Antonio, where he enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his dog. Up to his last days, he had a good sense of humor, and shared his love of Jesus with others.
Preceding him in death are his parents, John and Callie Jeter; wives, Maude (Pearl) Jeter, and Deanna (Lee) Jeter; brothers, Hugh, Horace, David, and John Clark; sisters, Louise Jeter Walker, and Ernestine Doan. He is survived by a step son Barry Lee; nieces, Jeanne Wildrix, Joanne Siedl, Kathy Pearson, Mary Jantz, Betty Jernijan, and six nephews.
Memorial donations may be made in Dwight’s name to Enid First Assembly of God Church, or Evangel Assembly of God Church, with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of the funds.
