The celebration of life for Harry Johnson, age 77, of Garber, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 30, 2023 at the Nescatunga Bible Church at Vining. Drew Drawbridge will preside. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Amy Stittsworth Funeral Services.
Harry was born November 5, 1945 in Wichita, KS to Arzie James and Reba Delta (Barker) Johnson. He died on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Garland Road Nursing Home. Harry attended East High School in Wichita, KS, graduating in 1962. He was drafted in to the Vietnam War where he served as a military police officer for the US Army. Upon his honorable discharge from the Army, he worked as a machinist and later retired from Dacoma Co-op in Jet, Oklahoma after eighteen years of service. Harry was a volunteer firefighter for the Nescatunga and Jet fire departments. He loved being involved in community activities, such as fundraiser auctions, community dinners and parades. Harry’s favorite pastimes were fishing and spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by his children Karla Johnson, Robert Johnson, Dana Johnson, Stephanie Collier, Gerald Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Cody Dracars and Coy Weeks along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
