Howard H. Click
1934 - 2025

Celebration of Life for Howard Click, 90, will be this Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Lahoma Baptist Church (located directly on U.S. 412 in Lahoma) with Pastor Brent Campbell officiating. Cremation arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

Howard was born on New Year’s Eve 1934 in Three Rivers, Texas, and used to joke the fireworks were in honor of him and his birthday. He joined his beloved wife Shirley, after nearly six years apart, in heaven on March 8, 2025, and his children who were with him when he passed kidded Mom’s first question to Dad was “What took you so long?”

Howard grew up in Texas the oldest boy of six. He proudly told everyone he graduated from Oklahoma A&M (which became Oklahoma State University later that year), and it was there in Stillwater he met the love of his life. They wed Nov. 3, 1957, in Oklahoma City, where Shirley had lived with her aunt and uncle.
Howard served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years, so they lived all over the continental United States and Hawaii, which was Shirley’s favorite military station. Following Howard's retirement and graduation from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, the couple served in Southern Baptist churches throughout Kansas and Oklahoma, him as pastor and her as pianist. Together they made an impact on untold lives, many times supporting families and churches behind the scenes anonymously.

The Clicks settled in Enid in 2000 to be near Vance Air Force Base in a house Shirley said would be the home she would die in—and she did. She departed this world in August 2019, leaving a void in Howard’s heart after more than 60 years of marriage. He longed to join her but the Lord kept him here a little longer to guide and minister to countless family members and friends.

He leaves behind six children, Helen Webster (Bob), Judy Rangel, Ruth Ann Replogle (Steve), Tim Click (Megan), Amy Carney (Tom), and the Rev. Matt Click (Jamey); eight grandsons, Mario Flores, Tito Flores, Miqueas Flores, David Webster, John Webster, Sean Carney, Ethan Click, and Elijah Click; seven great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters; two sisters, Bess Kessler and Evelyn Dunbar; brother and sisters-in-law, Howard Parks, Glennda Good, and Delores Emerson; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to a local mission outreach in your area to help spread the love of Jesus and bring others into the kingdom of heaven; Howard supported many in the Enid area including Victory Bible Church, Cedar Ridge Wesleyan Church, and Lahoma Baptist Church
