Leonard “Leo” Earl Sheets
1944 - 2024

Celebration of Life Service for Leo Sheets, 80 of Hunter will be Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at 1:00 pm in Anderson-Burris Chapel with Pastor Steve Williams officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Ft Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma. Cremation arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

Leonard Earl Sheets was born August 20, 1944 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Floyd and Eva (Chaves) Sheets and died October 31, 2024 at Hunter, Oklahoma.

He grew up in Pauls Valley Oklahoma. Leo served in the U.S. Army and later the Oklahoma National Guard. Following his discharge, he lived in Oklahoma City. In 1977, he moved to Covington and went to work at Farmland, later Koch. Leo retired in 2006. He enjoyed fishing, shooting and hunting.

Leo was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Bailey; sister, Nora Tribble; daughter, Janet Sheets; son, Floyd Sheets; granddaughter, Anna Reddick; great granddaughter, Hattie Ann Hammock.

He is survived by his wife Sue; children, David (Sherry) Sheets, Mark (Vikki) Sheets, Kevin (Michelle) Sheets, Jeff (Wendy) Huskey, Julie (Troy) Hammock, Terry (Chelsea) Huskey; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to Wounded Warriors.
