A Celebration of Life for Phil Steinert, DVM, age 68, of Enid, Oklahoma, will be Friday, December 13, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Travis Orr officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Phil was born August 21, 1956, in Enid, Oklahoma, to Bill and Erna Steinert and passed away December 11, 2024. He was confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Covington, in 1970 and a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Breckinridge. Phil graduated from Covington-Douglas High School in 1974 and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University in 1981. He opened Steinert Veterinary Clinic at Breckinridge, in 1983, and his son, Scott, joined him in 2006.
He married Vickie Kroll 45 years ago on August 4, 1979. Together they had three children, Scott Alan, Andrea Dawn, and Haley Beth. He was a loving husband, father, and papa. Phil enjoyed his grandchildren’s sporting events, visiting with his clients, farming, and raising cattle.
Phil is survived by his wife Vickie; son, Scott and wife Kristi Steinert, Breckinridge; daughter Haley and husband Justin Williams, Morrison; grandchildren, Colton and Aubri Steinert, Breckinridge; Daxton and Cruz Williams, Morrison; brother Bill and wife Rhonda Steinert, Fairmont; sister, Ruth Ann and husband Roger Avery, Edmond; sisters-in-law, Toni and husband Scott Brady, Enid; Shari and husband Chuck Monsees, Breckinridge; brother-in-law Rick Kroll, Fairmont and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Andrea Steinert; parents Bill and Erna Steinert and in laws Don and Linda Kroll.
The family would like to thank the staff at Brookdale and Complete OK Hospice for their extra special loving care of Phil. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made through Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory to the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Breckinridge.
