Celebration of Life Service for Phillip Kennedy will be Friday, July 4, 2025 at 11:00 am in Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. Private family burial will be at a later date in Enid Cemetery. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.
Phillip was born February 16, 1947 in Enid, Oklahoma to Elton and Maurine (Casebier) Kennedy and passed away July 1, 2025 in Enid.
He grew up in Enid and married his sweetheart, Linda McChristian in Blackwell, Oklahoma. They made their home in Enid. Phillip served in the National Guard. He worked at Owen Supply, before he began his career on the railroad. Phillip worked as an engineer on the Frisco, Burlington Northern and finally the Burlington Northern Sante Fe Railroads, before retiring with over 37 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, collecting cars and antiques and spending time with family and friends. Phillip and Linda served on the Enid Cemetery Board for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Phyllis, and brother, Darwin.
Phillip is survived by his wife, Linda; two daughters, Kim and husband, Patrick Youngs, and Wendy Kennedy; four grandchildren, Ryley & Reegan Youngs, Braden & Madison; other relatives and friends.
