The Head Football Coach for the Alva Goldbugs, Ryne Wilson, sat down with EnidLIVE! to discuss the upcoming matchup with the Hennessey Eagles.

When questioned if the Goldbugs have their offense down, Coach Wilson responded, “Yeah, a little bit. The bye week really helped our guys understand how our triple-option stuff works. The two games before that as a play-caller, I’m still feeling my role out….”

Wilson commended the opposing team’s Coach and the feats his team has accomplished.

“They’re a very well-coached team. Coach Cox was there when I first got to Alva, he was their offensive coordinator. When I first got here, Hennessey had just come off of back-to-back state championships…They’re gonna be very physical. On film, we’ve seen a big physical team who likes to contact like we do.”

Coach Wilson made some last remarks regarding the game against Hennessy.

“We’re gonna get ready for this because they’re not a slouch. I don’t expect it to be a game like last year where we kind of kicked and did whatever we wanted to. I think this year is going to be a much better game.”
