As we get closer to the postseason several 8-Man Football teams in Northwest Oklahoma are having incredible seasons!

Class B-1

Garber

The Garber Wolverines have a senior-laden team that is looking to make a huge run in the postseason. They are having an incredible season and are currently 6-2. They have a massive offensive line anchored by Kooper Hughes, and Brett Howry is one of the best QBs in the state.

Pond Creek-Hunter

The Pond Creek-Hunter Panthers are having a great season in Class B and they also have a 6-2 record. They are led on Offense by quarterback Caden Tefft fullback Cole Mitchell, and running back and wide receiver Ashton Banks. The largest hurdle for the Panthers is a brutally tough district schedule.

Class B-2

Okeene

Okeene lost some of their best players to graduation from their State Semi-Final team a year ago. However, the young guys have stepped up! Blaine Jinkins is having a phenomenal year at running back while William Wooly is doing great as a quarterback in his 1st year starting. Okeene is 7-1 and a threat to make a deep playoff run.

Seiling

The Seiling Wildcats are the defending Class B State Champions and are currently the favorite to repeat and win the Class B-2 Championship. Blake Chain is having an incredible season both at linebacker and at quarterback and is looking to propel the Wildcats to their 2nd straight State Championship.

Covington-Douglas
Coach Smith and the Covington-Douglas Wildcats are hitting their stride in the senior season of Quarterback Ford Smith. Some young players like Justice Halcomb are ahead of schedule and giving the Wildcats a boost with their play. If anyone can challenge the Seiling Wildcats in Class B-2 it’s Covington-Douglas.

Waukomis

The Waukomis Chiefs are 6-2 and are having their best season in years. Sophomore Wyatt Smith and Junior Ethan Brueggeman have helped lead an explosive offense that is averaging a blistering 46 points a game.

Class C

Timberlake

The Timberlake Tigers are undefeated and are looking to bring home another Class C State Championship after losing in the Semi-Finals the past 2 seasons. They are led by Junior Mavric Judd a CTB Sports All Star and one of the best athletes in Northwest Oklahoma regardless of class. Judd plays running back and wide receiver and is a threat to score on any play. However Judd isn’t the only weapon for quarterback Peyton Pierce.  Paxton Glenn is matchup nightmare at wide receiver for opposing defenses standing at 6″7 with blazing fast speed. Timberlake is 8-0 and looking to get past the 2-time defending champs the Tipton Tigers.

Medford

The Medford Cardinals brought back most of their team from last season and it’s paying off. Medford is 6-2 and undefeated in Class C play. Medford has weapons everywhere like Ethan Gonzalez at running back and wide receiver and Austin Kalblinger at tight end. Medford is scoring 34.5 points per game and that’s counting their losses to Class B teams. Expect Medford to make a deep playoff run in Class.
