The NJCAA Division 2 World Series is underway in Enid! We are now down to our final four teams and our semi-final matchups. Here are the full results for Day 5 of the NJCAA Division 2 World Series that got us to our semifinal matchups!

East Central defeats South Arkansas 6-4

Chris Billingsley was incredible for the East Central Warriors throwing 8 K’s and only giving up 2 ER in 6 innings of work. For South Arkansas Colin Reed kept pace with Billingsley giving up 5 hits and 3 earned runs through 6.2 Innings of work.

However, ECC was able to take advantage of 3 Star errors which helped them put up the 6 runs. There was also some controversy in the 8th inning when Stars Pitcher Luke Eaton was tossed after some choice words with the umpire.

St. Johns Rivers State defeats Des Moines Area College 3-1

It was tougher than expected for the Vikings since by all accounts DMACC was out of pitching. However, the Bears adopted a strategy of pitching by committee leading to a strong day for their pitching staff who only gave up 3 runs. Unfortunately for the Bears and Vikings Ace Aaron Potter was incredible giving up only 1 run and posting 9 K’s.

East Central defeats Madison 13-4

The Warriors earned their way to a rematch with Madison who defeated ECC on Monday 12-10 after coming back from being down 10-1. However, this time the dominance lasted throughout the game for the Warriors. They jumped out to a strong start leading 5-0 after 1 and never looked back. Jayden Adcox was 4-4 with 5 RBIs.
