In this interview, CTB Sports Director Derek Darr sat down with Chisholm Head Boys Basketball Coach Cole Hibler to discuss the upcoming Wheat Capital Tournament.
Coach Hibbler talks about the three-game winning streak going into Christmas break.
“ It’s three solid teams going into Christmas break. We’re trying to find ways to win…especially against Pond Creek on that Thursday [Dec. 19]. If I remember correctly, we found a way to win late fourth quarter…[battled] back and still came out on top. Same thing against Blackwell in the fourth quarter….”
Coach Hibler mentioned some players who impressed him during the win streak.
“Cooper has been a solid force, night in, night out. Somebody who stepped up really big is Gage Smith, especially on the offensive end…Langley and Noah, both do a good job of taking care of the ball for us. Manus Malinski, a sophomore who really stepped up big for us. Coming off the bench and had some big moments….”
