The Chisholm Longhorns beat the Kingfisher Yellow Jackets in overtime 20-17.
Chisholm started off the scoring midway through the first quarter with a 65-yard run by Kelson Hamilton a Junior to go up six to nothing. The extra point was blocked and then after a long drive, Chisholm scored again to go up 12-0 and scored on a 2-point conversion to go up 14 to 0 going into halftime. Kingfisher scored in the 3rd quarter after a sack for a huge loss and a short punt, giving them the ball and great field position on the Longhorn’s 30-yard line. The Yellowjackets scored after a few plays, making the score 14-7 in favor of Chisholm.
Kingfisher had the ball with under 3 minutes to go in the 4th quarter and drove down to tie the game with 13 seconds left, sending the game to overtime. Kingfisher had the ball first and had to settle for a field goal, going up 17-14. Chisholm was at 3rd down and 5 when Kelson Hamilton dropped back to pass, started to run up the middle, and found Jackson Caddell with a short pass to the end zone for the winning score.
