Enid Plainsmen Head Football Coach Cameron Condor Talks Offseason, and Spring Practices

Practices are already underway for football in Oklahoma and the Enid Plainsmen are already preparing for the 2024-2025 football season. Enid Plainsmen Head Football Coach Cameron Condor spoke with CTB Sports about how the offseason is going so far.

Coach Condor spoke about what the Plainsmen have been up to in the offseason, mentioning the work several Plainsmen have been putting in during the offseason saying “We have been really pushing the gaining of weight physically then also increasing the weight in their core lifts, we have 3 core lifts bench, power clean, and squat”. “We look a lot different”.

One of the players who has gotten after it is Blake Fuksa who added a lot of muscle in the offseason. Coach Condor said Blake Fuska has put on 30 pounds in the offseason and has maintained his speed.

Another change for the Plainsmen is that they plan on running the ball more often this season. Coach Condor spoke about the new strategy “We’re gonna vary our tempos tremendously this next year we’re gonna go at a snail’s pace and then we’re gonna go up-tempo”.

Coach Condor went on to say “We’re gonna play a little different brand than we have the last couple of years to give ourselves the best chance to win in the 4th quarter”. The Enid Plainsmen will return several starters on both sides of the ball giving what was a young team a year ago much more experience.

The Plainsmen boast 2 high caliber quarterbacks in Israel Gonzalez and Aiden Robinson who both got significant playing time a year ago. Aiden Robinson entered the season a year ago as the starter, before suffering an injury against Jenks.

Enid also will return most of their secondary and wide receiver room as well.
