In this interview, CTB Sports Director Derek Darr sat down with Enid Head Baseball Coach Brad Core to discuss the upcoming baseball game.
The coach began by highlighting the team’s progress and chemistry despite facing scrimmage challenges.
“We look like…we have a lot of young [inexperienced] guys, but we have thrown the ball extremely well in the scrimmages. We lost several scrimmages due to this artic blast, [but] we have got to play. We’ve looked really good on defense and pitching, and we figured out our hitting would lag a little bit because that’s always the last thing to come. But I feel like these kids have worked extremely hard and they seem to have good chemistry….”
Coach Gore also discussed how Aiden Robinson has been recovering after sustaining an injury during football season.
“He’s been working hard to get back into form,” Gore continued on about how he has been improving throughout the year: “He’s been doing a really good job for us and we’re going to rely on him this year to show leadership and, maybe lead by example—all the things that you’d think seniors would do. But he’s been working really hard and the arm looks really good, [swing] looks pretty good so we’re excited….”
