The Fairview Yellowjackets Head Football Coach Robert Bernard and his son/Quarterback Jax Bernard discuss Jax’s achievement of 10,000 career passing yards as well as the upcoming game against Hooker.

Darr asked Jax about how special of a night it was to realize that he achieved 10,000 career passing yards.

“That was a pretty special night, definitely a thing that my teammates helped me accomplish. That was not an individual thing, that was a team accomplishment.”

Jax talked about his reaction upon reaching the milestone.

“It was pretty surreal because I know it was coming up at the beginning of this season and it was pretty special to see how happy my teammates were for me, how selfless those guys were, and how they wanted to celebrate me in that moment.”

Coach Bernard was asked about the rivalry game against Hooker and how tensions are high this season.

“These games are always the fun ones. These are the ones that you look forward to all season, work for in the summer; we compete against these guys in all sports so there’s always bad blood, tensions are high…..”
