The Oklahoma City Thunder have had an eventful offseason, here is how I grade each move made by the team so far.
Trade Josh Giddey for Alex Caruso: Grade: A
The Oklahoma City Thunder are gearing up for a championship run and they got one of the best defenders in the league to boost their championship hopes.
Sign C Isaiah Hartenstein: Grade: A
The Thunder signed one of the best defensive centers in the League who will be a great fit alongside Chet Holmgren.
Resign Isaiah Joe, and Aaron Wiggins: Grade C+
OKC resigns solid role players but it’s hardly a splashy move by Sam Presti.
Draft Nikola Topic: Grade B-
A move for the future, the 18-year-old is coming off an ACL injury, however, he has a championship pedigree and can be a key contributor in the future.
Draft Dillon Jones: Grade D
Jones may pan out for the Thunder however sending the Knicks 5 second-round picks for the player who may have still been available in the 2nd round is a bit of a head-scratcher.
Draft Ajay Mitchell: B
A solid athlete and the son of a former European basketball pro, who has a high basketball IQ and great pickup in the 2nd round.
Overall Grade A
The Thunder did exactly what was needed to put themselves in contention for a title next season.
