Derek Darr sat down with NOC Enid Vice President Jeremy Hise to discuss the upcoming event: Superhero Saturday.
Hise began by talking about the event as a whole, along with some history about it.
“This is an event that we’ve had here in Enid for about three years now …the folks at [United Way] got this started for us, and we’ve attended it in the past. It’s been an amazing event; [really] fun for the kids to be able to come out and see Captain America and Batman, and some of our real-life heroes with Vance Air Force Base, the Enid PD, Fire Department, along with a lot of fun activities out there.
Then, Hise went into detail about some events available for both the kids and adults at the event.
“The kids will have a great time with some ice cream, paddle boats, putt-putt, [and] a petting zoo. And then for the parents, we’ve got all kinds of resources available for them. Whether it’s insurance, education or child care, we’ll have information available.”
“Everything’s free. The putt-putt’s free, paddle boats, [everything].”
