In this interview, CTB Sports Director Derek Darr sat down with Okarche Head Basketball Coach Aaron West to discuss the 3 Rivers Tournament.
West began by talking about how the team was doing.
“Our guys are…highly focused. They come to practice every day ready to work. These guys, I think enjoy being a part of it; working hard, and playing together…We’ve been playing pretty well, and transitioned our defense into half-court been pretty well. We’re creating over 30 turnovers a game, which leads to some easy transition buckets. But that keeps the pace, keeps the flow really well….”
The coach also discussed the Hennessey Eagles from the 3 Rivers Tourney.
“They have a good ball club. They started [with] a couple of young kids, [who] probably haven’t been used to that pressure in that style, but I thought they performed really well. They’ve got a really good point guard with Richardson…They’ve got some size, maybe [with] the 2nd time around, they’ll be used to seeing what we do….”
The Okarche Warriors are off to a fantastic start and will take on Hennessey on Tuesday!
