Okeene Head Football Coach Tanner Allen spoke about his team’s upcoming playoff matchup against Yale with a trip to the Class B Semi-Finals on the line. Coach Allen spoke about who would need to step up to win the game, mentioning the entire senior class.
The Whippets are in the midst of an incredible run to the playoffs with 1st-year head coach Tanner Allen. Okeene defeated Laverne last week 46-36 on the road, getting revenge for a 48-22 loss to the Laverne Tigers earlier in the year.
Brody Jinkens, William Karbs, and Harley Karbs have led a dangerous rushing attack for the Whippets that has been tough to stop this postseason. However, if Yale commits too many resources to stop the run, Allen is confident in Jinken’s ability to throw the ball to his outside weapons Roberts and Swartwood.
