Okeene Whippets Head Football Coach Tanner Allen Talks Spring Practices
Okeene Whippets Head Football Coach Tanner Allen spoke with CTB Sports about his offseason and spring practices. The Whippets are coming off a huge year where they made it all the way to the Class B State semi-finals where they were defeated by Velma-Alma. The Whippets lost some great players like Luke Swartwood and CTB Sports All-Stars Brody Jinkens and William Karbs.
However, they return players like William Wooly and Harley Karbs who are expected to be large contributors. However, Coach Allen is optimistic “We got a good group in my opinion of younger kids, I’m excited to see how it goes this year”.
The Whippets have been getting after it in the offseason in the weight room, one of the players who has impressed Coach Allen is Blaine Jinkens, “he’s a guy that’s always in the weight room, works his tail off”.
