Despite a 14th place finish in conference play the Oklahoma State Cowboys are going dancing! In the 1st year of the new Oklahoma State Men’s Basketball Coach Steve Lutz, they will play in the NIT Tournament against Wichita State. While the NIT Tournament may not be where Cowboy fans ultimately want to be a strong performance could give the program a badly needed momentum boost.

Just ask their opponent, the Wichita State Shockers. An NIT Championship in 2011 propelled the program to national relevance, including a Final 4 Appearance in 2013 and an undefeated regular season in 2014.

Both teams and programs hope that a strong NIT performance will elevate the program to greater heights in the future.
