The Enid Plainsmen and Enid Majors both made it to Championship Sunday in the Connie Mack Qualifier Tournament. 14 teams were entered into the tournament and were split into 2 pools of 7 teams each.

Only the teams with the top 4 records made it to the 4 team single elimination tournament on Sunday. The Plainsmen went 4-0 in Pool Play including a win over eventual finalists the Oklahoma Drillers. Before falling to Shockers Silver in a high-scoring semi-final matchup 15-12.

The Enid Majors lost twice, a rarity for the powerhouse, they 1st lost in extra innings 4-3 to the Oklahoma Express another team loaded with College Baseball talent like the Majors, before falling to the Drillers 8-6 in their semi-final matchup. It was a bitter pill to swallow for the Majors who have gotten used to winning the Connie Mack Qualifier Tournament in blowout fashion.

However, both the Majors and the Plainsmen will have a chance to bounce back at the Connie Mack State Tournament this week.
