Last Week during signing day Enid Plainsmen and Pacers Athletics had huge days with a total of 7 players signing to continue their athletic careers at the next level. Standout Pacer Softball player Kate Bezdicek signed with Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
Mccage Hartling who catches for the Plainsmen and is one of their top hitters stayed in town signing with NOC-Enid. Hartling also does a great job holding runners at 1st base often throwing those out who attempt to steal on him.
Centerfielder Garrett Shull signed with Oklahoma State, Shull has been an Oklahoma State commit since before his freshman season and has consistently been one of Oklahoma’s top players for his entire High School career. Shull has received attention from MLB scouts as a switch hitter and excellent defender who reads the ball well off the bat regardless of where he is in the infield or outfield.
Infielder Cooper Jarnigan committed to Coffeeville Community College, Jarnagin is a Swiss army knife playing consistently at 3rd base shortstop, and in the outfield. Jarnagin is also one of the Plainsmen’s top relievers on the mound.
Outfielder Karter Simon is committed to Northwestern Oklahoma State University like Jarnagin Simon plays nearly everywhere on the ball diamond playing 1st base, 3rd base, left and right field, pitching, and sometimes even catching.
Bennett Percival will also be staying in town, signing with NOC-Enid. Percival developed into one of the Plainsmen’s best starters on the mound during the 2023 season, helping them to sweep the State Champion Bixby Spartans during the regular season. Percival also carved out a nice role for himself as the team’s DH.
Finally, Centerfielder and Pitcher Seth Carlson committed to Crowder College. Carlson had a standout year his sophomore season helping the Plainsmen make the state tournament with strong play in the outfield, on the mound, and at the plate. However, he missed most of his Junior year due to a back injury suffered during football season. Having Carlson back at full strength greatly increases the Plainsmen’s chance of winning the State Championship in 2024.
