On Thursday, May 9th, the Enid Plainsmen were defeated in the 1st round of the State Tournament by Westmoore losing 10-0. A storm delay led to the Plainsmen getting started at 6 pm 2 hours after the original game time of 4 pm.
Enid struggled on the mound and the bats were cold for a Plainsmen team that went into the State Tournament red hot. Enid still finished with a great year, making their 3rd straight State Tournament.
Enid finished 27-15 on the year with huge wins over Piedmont, Bixby, Edmond Santa Fe, Tulsa Union, Stillwater, and Edmond North. Some of the highlights of the year for the Plainsmen include their revenge against the Bixby Spartans for their defeat in the 2023 State Championship Game.
Enid will lose 7 seniors who each will play College Baseball, all 7 have had incredible careers as Plainsmen. The 7 Seniors are Seth Carlson, Mccage Hartling, Bennett Percival, Garrett Shull, Dax Goeke, Cooper Jarnagin, and Karter Simon.
All 7 were huge contributors to the Plainsmen program throughout their careers.
