In this interview, CTB Sports Director Derek Darr sat down with PC-H Head Boys Basketball Coach Darin Jones to discuss the 101st Annual Skeltur Tournament.
Coach began by sharing how proud of the team he was during the Wheat Capital Tournament.
“I was very pleased with the way we competed and executed in the Wheat Capital Tournament. It felt like it did us a lot of good. Every game was athletic…the overall tournament made us better, and tougher and made us value the basketball. We had to play defense every possession, so it was a great tournament for us heading into the playoffs. ”
Jones also talked about how Titus Westrope is doing despite his injury.
“We’re waiting to see. He’s going to physical therapy right now. He’s working on strengthening the muscles around the knee, and he has a brace ordered, We’ll just see what the doctors [and] therapists say, and we’ll go from there. We’re playing well right now. If we can get Titus back…then that’s just a bonus for us. That’s put a lot more of a workload on his brother, Micah Westrope.”
