Pond Creek Hunter Head Football Coach Tanner Bowman spoke with CTB Sports about his Spring Practices. Coach Bowman spoke about how Brady Sheurman has impressed him so far saying “Well, Brady Sherman’s one that had to start for us at defensive end last year and here’s our backup quarterback and we have some packages where we played him a little bit at quarterback and he’s he has matured a lot from last year. He’s been a great leader for us out there. He’s one that’s getting guys around, making sure that they’re giving good effort and that attitudes are good, and so I’ve been really pleased with Brady and his play at quarterback so far.
Coach Bowman also spoke about what his spring practices look like, saying, “So we do a lot of individual, we do a lot of teaching. Our defense will have a new middle linebacker replacing Cole Mitchell so we’re having to find a guy to fill that role and that’s really important because he puts the defensive line where they need to go and our defense is designed for a middle linebacker to make a lot of tackles and so we’ve had try to find guys to replace Cole there and so we’ve had some young guys that there’s going to bit of a learning curve for them for sure”.
