In this interview, CTB Sports Director Derek Darr sat down with the South Haven Head Boys Basketball Coach Zach Norris to discuss the upcoming rivalry matchup against Caldwell.
Norris began by discussing the rivalry since the schools combined for the football season.
“Oh. it’s big for sure. I know the kids get into it. Obviously, they all know each other from football with us being combined with them. So there’s a lot of friendly and sometimes not-so-friendly banter there. It should be a fun game.”
The coach also talked about how the team is doing and what the plan is this season.
“Offensively, we’re starting to click. Defensively, I think we’re still trying to figure out who we are. I think we need to get a little more physical defensively. A little more tough, but the effort’s always there. And with us getting Alex Shore and Maddox Pond back from injury, the chemistry’s starting to come together. I think we’re starting to play our best basketball at a good time and pretty soon we’ll reach our full potential.”
