The Fairview Yellowjackets are your Class A State Champions defeating Hooker 34-8. Jax Bernard had 121 yards rushing and 231 yards passing. Isaiah Burris had 97 yards receiving, Reed Martens had 111 yards receiving. Tegan Gilchrist had 18 tackles and half a sack.
Fairview dominated the game from the beginning engineering some great drives on offense and shutting down the Bulldogs defensively. A scoreless 3rd quarter from the Yellow Jackets didn’t seem to matter as the dominant Fairview defense kept the Bulldogs from making it close.
Kaleb Outhier had a 32-yard fumble recovery for an interception and Burris had an interception! The Yellowjackets won their 2nd straight State Championship and are 30-0 in the last 2 years. 2 time defending State Champion Jax Bernard will be returning to the Yellow Jackets for his Senior season and another run at the Gold Ball.
