Waukomis Head Softball Nathan Pearson Talks Making the State Tournament!
Waukomis Head Softball Coach Nathan Pearson spoke with CTB Sports about his team qualifying for the State Tournament. The Waukomis Lady Chieftains have had a great season they are 33-6 going into the regular season and have had a spectacular playoff run.
In the Playoffs they defeated Garber 40-9, Garber 12-6, Crowder 19-3, and #6 Sterling 9-4 it’s been a dominant run for the Lady Chieftains as they gun for the State Championship. The scary thing about Waukomis is the youth of this team. They only have 3 Seniors and 1 Junior, the rest of the roster consists of underclassmen including many of their best players.
Coach Pearson also spoke about the challenging schedule that the Lady Chiefs have played throughout the year and how he believes the tough schedule helped prepare his team for the post season.
