A brilliant new video is making the rounds of Paul McCartney and producer Rick Rubin seemingly rocking out while remixing Smash Mouth's 1999 hit "Pop Star." Huffington Post reported it's the latest work of YouTube comedians Twister & Jumanj who recut McCartney and Rubin revisiting the Beatles' session tapes as part of the 2021 Grammy-nominated McCartney 3, 2, 1 Hulu mini-series.
Thanks to the hysterical re-cut, the pair are now seen rocking out and sharing their amazement at the raw session tapes for the '90s earworm, before then delving into Rick Astley's 1987 favorite, "Never Gonna Give You Up."
