Glenda was born February 16, 1957, to Russell and Chloe Ann (Wolfe) McKaig in Blackwell, Oklahoma. She passed away at her home September 7, 2020 with her loving family by her side.
Her family moved to Enid in 1968, where she graduated from Enid High School in 1975. She became a dental assistant through a high school program and worked in dental offices in Enid and Tulsa. In 1983, she married the love of her life, Steve McKeever, DDS and they proved to be an excellent team in everything they did. In Enid, Steve and Glenda were members of Westminster Church and Glenda was an active member of PEO-Chapter Q, serving in several offices, including one year as president of that chapter. When they moved to Oklahoma City in 2012, they joined the First Presbyterian Church of Edmond.
Pat was born November 5 ,1930 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Tom and Ann (Byrd) Neely and died Sunday, September 6, 2020 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was raised in Sayre and graduated from Sayre High School with the class of 1948. On March 19, 1948 she married H.A. “Homer” Lea in Sayre where the couple made their home. They began their family in Sayre and then Claremore for a time until moving to Enid in 1960.
Leota Alice Cherry Frantz (Odie) was the 3rd daughter born to Sidwell Louis Cherry and Clara Shepherd Cherry in Okemah, Oklahoma on February 27, 1922. She peacefully died on September 12, 2020. When Odie was only one year old, Clara moved her girls to Shawnee, Oklahoma, after the death of her husband. The three beautiful Cherry girls left their mark on that town! Odie was a vivacious Theta at OU. She said she made the best decision of her life when she said “yes” to the quiet, reserved, but humorous Bob Frantz from Enid. They married on January 16, 1943 in Dallas, Texas while Bob was serving in the army. After the war they made their home in Enid to raise their 3 children.
Bill was born November 26, 1947 to William and Faye Benton in Enid and passed from this life September 11, 2020 in Enid.
He was raised and educated in Enid graduating from Enid High School with the class of 1965. He attended the Oklahoma Panhandle State University where he received a Bachelor’s in psychology. He served in the United States Army. He married Carolyn Branstine on March 7, 1970 in Campo, Colorado. He worked for Guymon Feed Lot, Bk Feed Mill, and for Bill Maker Cattle Feed for over thirty years. He was a longtime member of Emmanuel Enid.
Grady Benton McKinney was born July 29, 2020 to Austin McKinney and Ashley Ramsey in Enid, Oklahoma and passed from this life in his parents’ arms on September 3, 2020 in Oklahoma City.
Grady loved to be held and snuggled, he loved being talked to, and having mom and dad with him. He had such a big heart for such a little guy. Grady had all his doctors and nurses wrapped around his finger at OU Children’s Hospital. His life may have been short, but he captured the hearts of many.
Sarah was born on September 30, 1999 in Perryton, Texas to John and Sheila (Patterson) Meier and died on September 14, 2020 in Dallas, Texas.
She grew up in Darrouzett and graduated from Darrouzett High School, Class of 2018. Sarah then attended Frank Phillips College in Perryton, Texas. She enjoyed being with her friends and classmates. Sarah was baptized on April 27, 2014 in the First Baptist Church in Darrouzett. She received a liver transplant 2015. Family time was so important to Sarah.
Frances was born on July 17, 1921 in Waukomis, Oklahoma to Pete and Lula (Taylor) Rose and died on September 14, 2020 at her home in Waukomis.
She grew up in Waukomis. Frances married John Cain and they had three children. She later married Leo McKee and they had three children. Frances worked various jobs and was a meat wrapper for many years at the meat market. She was a member of Waukomis Christian Church. Frances loved her dogs and her family.
Virgil grew up in Helena, Oklahoma where he farmed, custom harvested and worked as a truckdriver until his retirement.
He is survived by his children Stacey Birchfield and husband Allen of Eufaula, Tami Severin of Helena, Andy Minnick of Kremlin, Tony Minnick and wife Shelli of Kremlin, Joy Headrick of Enid, Misty Hawkins of Cherokee and Billy Wingo and wife Brandie of Enid, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Vickie, parents, and his sister LaJoy Sturgeon.
Marion was born November 4, 1932 in Loyal, Oklahoma to Floyd Ferman and Lydia L. (Helzer) Wanzer
and peacefully passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at his home in Enid, Ok.
He graduated Valedictorian from Loyal High School in 1950. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force and while stationed in southern California, met Janet Healey and were married on May 7, 1955 until her passing on April 21, 1993. He later married Loretta (Sissons) Branham on September 15, 1995.
Roland was born on July 25, 1942 in Providence, Rhode Island to John and Lauda Champagne Boudreau and died on September 11, 2020 at his home in Enid.
He grew up in Providence and started working in the restaurant industry in 1954. Roland worked his way up to restaurant management until his retirement. On September 4, 1999, he married Lynn Schiska in Rhode Island. They made their home in Enid in 2010. Roland was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and Knight of Columbus Council 1044.
