CHECK OUT THE TRAILER FOR ‘SHIRLEY:’ According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix dropped the official trailer for Shirley on Monday (February 19th). The film stars Regina King as Shirley Chisholm, the first Black congresswoman who ran for the presidency in 1972. Shirley also marks one of the late Lance Reddick’s final roles. The film will be available on the streaming platform on March 22nd.

JON STEWART BRINGS VIEWERS BACK TO ‘THE DAILY SHOW:’ Deadline reports that more than three million viewers tuned in for Jon Stewart’s return as host of The Daily Show on February 12th. This marked the show’s biggest premiere audience since 2017. It was also the most-watched cable show in the 11 p.m. slot that night.

BAFTA EXPLAINS WHY MATTHEW PERRY WAS MISSING FROM IN MEMORIAM SEGMENT: After facing backlash for not featuring Friends actor Matthew Perry in the In Memoriam segment during the BAFTAs on Sunday (February 18th), the British Academy of Film and Television Arts explained that they plan to honor him at the forthcoming television awards show instead. “Matthew Perry will be remembered in the forthcoming BAFTA Television Awards in May,” a spokesperson told Variety.

KRISTEN STEWART SAYS SHE IS ‘REALLY HAPPY’ WITH HER ‘ROLLING STONE’ COVER: According to Variety, Kristen Stewart commented on her recent Rolling Stone cover during a press conference at the Berlin Film Festival. The Twilight actor wore nothing but a black leather vest and jock strap in the cover photo, telling the magazine she wanted it to be the “gayest f—king thing.” In Berlin, the Clouds of Sils Maria actor said she is “really happy with” the outcome. Responding to criticism surrounding the shoot, she added, “The existence of a female body thrusting any sort of sexuality at you that’s not designed for or desired by exclusively cis straight males, people aren’t super comfy with that.”
