Championship Sunday is here for the AABC South Plains Regional Tournament.
Thunderstorms and golf ball sized hail ruined the original single-elimination tournament schedule. The entire Saturday night schedule was washed away and because of that, the Enid Plainsmen were eliminated. They were supposed to be the sixth and final seed. They were scheduled to take on the third seed, Enid Majors on Saturday night.
The newly renovated schedule will be played on Sunday and the weather is going to be near perfect this time around. (Unless Mother Nature wants to throw up a surprise party). The Enid Majors, since they had the higher seed, advanced by weather default. They need to win two games and they will earn a paid berth to the Connie Mack Classic with over 30 teams in Joplin, Mo. on July 22.
