(Norman, OK) An internal audit has shown that former OU president David Boren used university landscaping staff over 100 times on his personal home. Last May, Boren paid the university 4,310 dollars following the audit when it was shown he was partially billed once, and never billed on two separate occassions.

This in addition to the 47,593 dollars he paid for nine years worth of work on the Windrush property in 2018. “OU released a memo about the internal audit last week, stating, “the identified items were considered as part of a broader revision of the University’s Conflict of Interest Policy.”

OU regents adopted the revised policy in October.

“The larger policy update included a new review and approval process for the appropriate use of resources, employees and students,” OU said Friday.

Boren was only partially billed for property brush hogging and cleanup work in 2016 and not billed at all for emergency driveway repairs in 2012, the records show.
