Enid Woman Make Headlines Nationwide Following Unusual Police Chase

(Enid, OK) On September 15th, a 28-year-old Enid woman was arrested after a short pursuit with EPD that involved speeding through school zones and a four-way stop.

The woman, Emily Jean Owings Sindt, was stopped on the 300 block of East Elm early that Tuesday morning and told the officer on site that it was her birthday, she lost her license and had to “poop”, according to the EPD’s post on their official Facebook page.

After Sindt’s license was found, it was revealed that she had warrants in Woods and Grant counties.

Sindt was soon arrested and police obtained  a glass meth pipe with a burnt substance found inside. She was taken to EPD on complaints of eluding, reckless driving, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension, no seat belt and no insurance.
