(Enid, OK) Garfield County’s Board of County Commissioners met earlier this morning.  Commissioners started with the OSU Extension Office where President Joyce Fales presented a dilemma on painting a curb that has become tricky, better marking it for future guests. Commissioner of District 2, Reese Wadel jokingly recommended they paint it red, to which Fales responded, “No! ORANGE!” While the decision doesn’t go through the county commission, yellow was the agreed upon color.

Commissioners approved Letter of Removal of Receiving Officer for the Garfield Detention Facility, while three other removals were tabled for next week’s session as they were lacking the word juvenile in their specificity.

Commissioners also tabled the approval of a Road Crossing Application from Bluestem Pipeline, LLC. It is currently appending approval from the District Attorney’s office.

Three Floodplain Permits from ONEOK up to Medford were approved, as well as Cash Fund Estimates of Needs the Detention Facility and Rural Fire-Sales Tax.

Commissioners approved declaration of surplus and disposal for the Garber RFD, District 1, and the Highway Safety Department. All blanket purchase orders were signed and approved.

No new business was brought forth.
