Here is a recap of what was discussed at last nights city commissioner meeting:
1. The city discussed whether or not to renew the franchise agreement with Suddenlink Communications and the terms of a deal once the 10 year agreement they currently have expires.
- Funding for homeless prevention and rehabilitation was granted funding from a $125,000 Community Development Block Grant.
- Three plans to connect downtown Enid to the trail system was discussed during a study session. A first option would cost $50,000 and adds 800 feet of new sidewalk. The second will be 800 feet of sidewalk again but would be installed along Garriott and Park. The third option costs $75,000 and requires 1,350 feet of sidewalk towards Park.
- Operation Cleanup, Ward 2 Commissioner Derwin Norwoods project to clean his jurisdiction, starts at 9am October 26th.
