Alice Cooper Loses Cosmetics Deal After Calling Some Gender-Affirming Care ‘A Fad’

Just days after announcing a partnership with Vampyre Cosmetics, Alice Cooper has lost that deal. The legendary rocker called some gender-affirming care “a fad” and claimed that discourse surrounding the trans community has “gone now to the point of absurdity.”

At the same time, he expressed support for the community, the full paragraph was : “I'm understanding that there are cases of transgender, but I’m afraid that it's also a fad. I find it wrong when you've got a six-year-old kid who has no idea. He just wants to play, and you're confusing him telling him, 'Yeah, you're a boy, but you could be a girl if you want to be.'”

He had said, that he thought that was “so confusing to a kid. It's even confusing to a teenager.”

Vampyre Cosmetics describes itself as “proudly women owned, disabled owned and LGBT+ owned”.

After apparent backlash from Alice’s fans, Vampyre Cosmetics deleted some of their posts about it on social media. At last check, the Facebook post was still up.

TL;DR:

  • Just days after announcing a partnership with Vampyre Cosmetics, Alice Cooper has lost that deal.
  • Due to comments about gender-affirming care.
