America Heading Back On The Road

SHARE NOW

It wouldn't be a new year without a string of new America tour dates popping up, with leaders Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell tagging nine new stops onto the band's 2023 itinerary. As it stands now, America kicks things off on January 12th in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania at the Luhrs Center and has just posted new shows in the South, Northeast, Midwest, and West Coast.

Dewey Bunnell told us that over the years on the road, the band has learned to run a tight ship both on and off the stage: ["We've grown up on the road and we know what we're supposed to be doing. The live show's matured. You take your responsibility a little more seriously. You have to take care of your voice. We wanna be able to do those songs justice every night. You don't wanna let down the team, I think we all appreciate that."] SOUNDCUE (:15 OC: . . . all appreciate that)

Gerry Beckley told us that the group tries to include all of America's best loved songs in their nightly setlist: ["It's all of those songs that make up the show, y'know, make up the experience. It really does turn into a 'Oh, I forgot they did that song' kind of an evening.'"] SOUNDCUE (:09 OC: . . . kind of evening)
