Bruce Springsteen has just issued Madison Square Garden, New York – 6/27/2000 — the latest official bootleg in his ongoing monthly archive series. The show, which was culled his 1999/2000 reunion tour with the E Street Band, marks the fourth pick from the historic tour, with the previous shows being Chicago – September 30th, 1999, New York City – July 1st, 2000, and Los Angeles – October 23, 1999.

Highlights include the then-previously unreleased opener "Code Of Silence," the always timeless take on Jimmy Cliff's "Trapped," The River outtake and Tracks standout, "Loose Ends," "Back In Your Arms," and a pair of tunes from Springsteen's debut 1973 album, Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J. — "Mary Queen Of Arkansas" and "Blinded By The Light."

Steve Van Zandt has stated numerous times that "Loose Ends" — which is featured on the new live set — is his absolute favorite of the outtakes that spent years on Bruce Springsteen's cutting room floor. He explained to us that despite being "The Boss'" deputy in the E Street Band, he's actually biggest Bruce fan on Earth — and proud to lend his voice to his worldwide legion of followers: ["I'm always gonna be, y'know, the consigliere — I can't help it, OK? Y'know, and when called upon, y'know, I always have an opinion, OK? And my opinion is always going to be bringing things towards what I feel the fans want. That's just me. Y'know, I'm a fan first, I guess — a band guy second, really."] SOUNDCUE (:24 OC: . . . guy second really)

Bruce Springsteen looks back on the reunion tour after a decade apart from the band as being one of the most meaningful of his career: ["The nicest thing about it was that we were able to reconstitute the band as an ongoing, sort of creative unit, y'know? And I think that it was a great time for all of us — that was a big, big, part of our own lives, y'know? And of our audience's lives — and we wanted to live up to that thing, and we wanted to continue to serve in the fashion that we served before."] SOUNDCUE (:26 OC: . . . we served before)

The tracklisting to Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band's 'Madison Square Garden, New York 06/27/2000' is:
