This week, Iron Maiden celebrates the 40th anniversary of the release of their album, The Number of the Beast.

They’ve been going through their own archives as well as sharing artifacts submitted by fans. Some of the posts on Twitter have included 1982 concert ticket stubs, autographed tour programs and old photos.

The band's historic third album, and first with singer Bruce Dickinson and last with Clive Burr, featured fan-favorites like “The Prisoner,” “Children of the Damned,” and “Hallowed By Thy Name.”

The record marked the first of Maiden’s five times topping the U.K. album charts, their first time cracking the Top 40 of the Billboard 200, and give the band their first Top 10 single in “Run to the Hills.”

Currently, Iron Maiden is getting set for a North American tour that kicks off September 7th in Mexico City.
