Yesterday (February 14th) in celebration of Valentine's Day, a new video of John Lennon's 1970 classic 1970 ballad, "Love," was released. The video morphs different versions of the song, which will be featured on the upcoming five-disc John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band – The Ultimate Edition box set.

The video, which spotlights legendary clips of John and Yoko (Ono) from 1971 and 1980, features printed quotes of Lennon talking about matters of the heart over the footage. Also in the spirit of Valentine's Day, pair of new "John & Yoko – Love" shirts are now available at JohnLennon.com.

During his December 1970 chart with Jann Wenner for Rolling Stone, John Lennon spoke frankly about the recording of the Plastic Ono Band album: ["This time, it was my album. . .  And (I) used to get a bit embarrassed in front of George (Harrison) and Paul (McCartney), because we know each other so well — 'Oh, he trying to be Elvis (Presley), or he's doing this now. . . ' We're a bit super-critical of each other, so, we inhibited each other a lot. And now I had Yoko there, and Phil (Spector) there, who, sort of, love me, O.K.? So I can perform better, and I relaxed, y'know?"] SOUNDCUE (:18 OC: . . . I relaxed, y'know)

The full details regarding the eagerly anticipated John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band – The Ultimate Edition box set will be announced on March 4th. The new collection will feature 159 new mixes culled from the album's original 1970 sessions.
