Pantera’s major label debut from 1990, Cowboys From Hell, has now sold two million copies, certifying double Platinum in the U.S.

In a recent radio interview, bassist Rex Brown talked about how the album brought commercial success to the band. He said, “We were the biggest underground band of the '90s. We didn't have a lot of MTV support and we didn't have any radio play.”

He added “Now you go to any sporting event and hear one of our songs at a football game, which is great, but they wouldn't touch it back then. So we just kind of flew by the seat of our pants and kind of D.I.Y., and just toured our butts off and worked really, really hard.”

Earlier this year, Pantera played Panama City, Florida, the concert marked their first live appearance in the U.S. in 22 years. They last played the Tacoma Dome in Washington in 2001.
