Paul McCartney's Glastonbury Festival performance on June 25th will be broadcast by the BBC One. Musicweek.com reported that the "Beeb" will also televise sets by Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish, and Diana Ross, who'll perform in the "Legends" slot.
McCartney's 2020 Glastonbury spot was scrapped due to Covid. The former-Beatle first headlined the festival back in 2004.
The core of Paul McCartney's current band — guitarist Rusty Anderson and drummer Abe Laboriel Jr. — began playing with McCartney back in 2001 in Los Angeles and now hold the distinction of being the longest and most stable lineup of any of his bands: ["I worked with those two guys during the Driving Rain album and loved working with them. We did a couple of little things and then we did the Super Bowl with Brian (Ray), who was sort of our final member — and Wix, who's from my old band. And it just seemed a good little group of people. Y'know, the attitude seemed great, y'know, we all seemed to like each other — which is always a little bit of a plus. It just felt very good.
