Sting has launched a new interactive website for his upcoming Duets album. The compilation was originally set for release back on November 27th, but due to pandemic-related production delays, will now drop on March 19th. Check out the new site: https://sting.lnk.to/DuetsTimeline

Duets features Sting's team-ups with the likes of Mary J. Blige, Herbie Hancock, Eric Clapton, Annie Lennox, Charles Aznavour, Mylène Farmer, Shaggy, Melody Gardot, Gashi and more. The album also includes the new, never-before-released song, "September" which pairs Sting with Italian icon Zucchero.

Yesterday (March 2nd) Sting.com posted an update on the new interactive site:

To accompany Sting’s newest album Duets, out March 19th, a new interactive website will launch today, March 2 as a visual companion piece detailing each track with photo-visual content and new video commentary from Sting.

Available in multiple languages (English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Polish and Japanese), the website chronologically explores his new album with a musical journey spanning from 1992 to the present.

Fans are invited to travel along the timeline for the story behind each duet, check out new interviews with Sting musing on these collaborations and share their own memories of each song with other fans around the world.

Sting told us a while back that taking prolonged walks around his property without an instrument have helped his songwriting tremendously: ["I would take it away every day and walk in the woods and hope that the tunes would tell me what they were about. A mood would appear or a character or a line or a story or something. And some days I got something and some days I got nothing. So, it was a kind of mysterious process for me, a mysterious journey. Stories started to emerge, little characters started to emerge."] SOUNDCUE (:20 OC: . . . took me awhile)
