Back To Black, the upcoming Amy Winehouse biopic starring Marisa Abela, will premiere in North American theaters on May 10th of 2024. The film was made by Fifty Shades Of Grey director Sam Taylor-Johnson and writer Matt Greenhalgh, who previously collaborated on the 2009 John Lennon biopic Nowhere Boy, starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson. “Back To Black is a never-before-seen glimpse into Amy Winehouse’s early rise to fame and the release of her groundbreaking studio album, Back To Black,” according to distributor Focus Features. “Told from Amy’s perspective, the film is an unapologetic look at the woman behind the phenomenon and the relationship that inspired one of the most legendary albums of all time.”
