Britney Spears has called her father out for trying to extort her for $2 million.
According to TMZ on Tuesday (August 31), Britney's lawyers filed legal documents claiming that her father, Jamie Spears, is trying to hold on to her money because she is attempting to leave her conservatorship.
Britney's legal team also said that the singer's father has asked for $2 million, which will pay his lawyers and Britney's former business partner Tri Star.
Her attorney reportedly said in the court documents, "The status quo is no longer tolerable, and Britney Spears will not be extorted."
Although Britney wants her father to resign from the conservatorship now, the court will suspend him from it on Sept. 29th.
